Carlos de Antonis is an Argentinean-Italian tenor. He began his vocal career as a soloist in the musical theater and made his opera debut at age 25. Mr. De Antonis is considered one of the finest tenors of his generation. He has performed principal tenor roles in the world’s most prestigious opera houses and his exceptional vocal and dramatic talents have been widely praised everywhere.

Since his 1989 debut at Colon Theater in Buenos Aires, Argentina Carlos De Antonis never stopped working as a performer in many different countries. In 1991 he made his debut in ”Dracula”, and in 1993 he was the first Quasimodo in the World, the lead role of The Hatchback Of Notre Dame.

Carlos’ repertoire includes the leading roles from Italian and French operas such as: La Traviata, La Boheme, Rigoletto, L’Elisir d’Amore, Lucia di Lammermoor, Faust, Roméo et Juliette, Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Werther and many other famous operas. He performed around the world under the batons of Manfredi Argento, Daniel Barenboim, Serge Baudo, Pedro I. Calderón, Leopold Hager, Karl Richter, Antonio M. Russo, Juan Carlos Zorzi just to name a few.

He is always very grateful to his teachers, who have passed on all their knowledge such as Alberto Balzanelli, Natalia Biffis, Leone Maggiera, Gioele Muglialdo, Oscar Ruiz, Sara Corti-Sforni, Franco Sioli, and Luciano Pavarotti among others. 

Mr. De Antonis brings passion and energy into his live concert performances. His solo recital one-man show named “Who said that Opera is boring?” was reviewed as “a truly unforgettable evening.” with his voice described as “an attractive, ardent and supple instrument that he wielded to passionate effect.”

Carlos recently moved from Hollywood California to Fort Lauderdale (FL), and participated in the world’s most-watched TV show: “America’s Got Talent” being ranked by the judges as “the most likable contestant ever”. That was Carlos’ first appearance on TV after a big accident where he almost lost his life! Now that he is well recovered, he will continue his mission to spread his wonderful Art around the World. 

Carlos De Antonis is member of Musicfor America through which devotes much of his musical activity to the support and development of music in disadvantaged areas in the world (Mozambique, Haiti, Angola, South Africa, Ivory Coast) building music schools, purchasing musical instruments, provisioning scholarships and the realization of chamber and symphonic orchestras. Thousands of children have thus the opportunity to approach music and broaden their perception and their perspective on life.
